Japan Unveils Adorable Mock Pizza Hut Run Entirely By Cats

image: http://cdn.foodbeast.com/content/uploads/2014/08/pizza-cat-1.jpg:

Cats are the animal equivalent of grumpy teens working summer jobs — disinterested, lethargic, perpetually annoyed. Just ask Tencho, Hime, Dora, and Detch, the four newest cat employees for Pizza Hut Japan.

Part of the brand’s newest video campaign, Pizza Cat! is a fictional Pizza Hut location run entirely by cats. “Run” used only loosely of course, since the cat’s don’t ever really work. Instead, they sleep through alarms, stare at ringing telephones, claw at delivery bikes, and literally ride roombas all around the store.

Along with a video series highlighting the cats’ daily shenanigans, Pizza Cat! also got its own nifty website detailing the cats even further. There’s even a little disclaimer stating that if your pizza doesn’t arrive, it’s simply because the cats lost their motivation, please excuse them.r all.

OK, Fine.

House Republicans are laying the groundwork for a revision of the food-stamps program after its sharp expansion during the recession.

The effort kicks off Feb. 25 when the House Agriculture Committee holds the first of several hearings scheduled this year on food stamps, formally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Also, several Republicans in Congress are proposing legislation that would require a person to show photo identification when using food stamps.

Hike 1: Torrey Pines State Reserve 1/25/2015

Never Not Stoked

We always say we will start a hike by 7am but usually don’t even wake up until 8am. This is something I’d like to work on to avoid being caught in the trail crowds and dealing with parking hazards! Especially when we do this hike again. To park inside the state park, you have to pay $12. Otherwise, you can park in the residential area and walk about a mile to the park entrance.

The hike can be exhausting when you are begin up the steep road (where my sister likes to do lunges!) but the views are worth the effort. This was Aaron’s first time taking the trail down to the beach. We did not venture off onto any of the side trails along the way because we just wanted to get down to the ocean. We will definitely do these side trails next time just to make sure…

200,000 March for Life – Networks Give Them 15 Seconds

By Katie Yoder | January 23, 2015 | 11:37 AM EST

march-4-lifeWATCH VIDEO

On Jan 22, 200,000 people descended on Washington, D.C. for the annual March for Life, commemorating the 57 million babies destroyed since 1973’s Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.

Of the three broadcast networks, only CBS mentioned the 2015 March for Life, allotting it just 15 seconds. That’s one second for every 13,000 people who put work and school aside and traveled from as far away as the West Coast.

It’s one second for every 3.8 million babies aborted in the last 42 years.

To start the day …. “Give it away and it will come back”!!

It Is What It Is

~~January 17, 2015~~

Give it away and it will come back

~~Alan Watts~~

‘That what I want, basically, what I really want, is what you want. And I don’t know what you want. Surprise me’.

But that’s the kinship between “I” and “thou”. So when I ask, I go right down to the question, which we started with: “What do I want?”

The answer is “I don’t know”.

When Bodhidharma was asked, “Who are you?” which is another form of the same question, he said “I don’t know”. Planting flowers to which the butterflies come, Bodhidharma says “I know not”. I don’t know what I want.

And when you don’t know what you want, you reach the state of desirelessness. When you “really” don’t know … you see, there’s a beginning stage of not knowing, and there’s an ending stage of not knowing.

In the beginning stage, you don’t…
